Vera Natura is situated in the Costa Almanzora allowing access to the following places (see map):

Mojacar

The "Corner of Enchantment" is a dazzling white village on a hill top facing the Mediterannean, and is truly a town of contrasts. In the 15th Century the town was permitted by the Reyes Catholicos to retain its Moorish culture, which is still apparent today. A maze of Moorish arches, narrow winding cobbled streets and stairways climbing up and down the steep mountainside. Full of artisan shops and commercial and artistic life by day and a lively meeting point with bars and restaurants at night.

Mojacar

Cuevas del Almanzora

Set in a valley of orange and lemon groves the town has grown up around the imposing 7th Century Visigoth Castle which dominates the fertile plain of the river Almanzora. The gypsy barrio in the hills behind the castle are renowned for the most impressive occupied cave dwellings in Andalucia.

Granada

A spectacular drive through the Sierra Nevada brings you to Granada – the last stronghold of the Moors, with its magnificent Alhambra Palace. Certainly worth the 2 hour drive!

Vera

Is the main commercial centre of the area. On Saturday the town centre is transformed to a sprawling market which becomes the focal point for the surrounding villages.

Garrucha

Is a bustling little port with a thriving fishing fleet. It is an ideal centre for shopping, a daily fruit and fish market and the fish auction. Eat at one of the several excellent fish restaurants.

Sporting Facilities

All kinds of water sports, excellent swimming in the sea and a new aqua park provide plenty of enjoyment for the whole family.

Golf Courses

Desert Springs at Villaricos - the first desert course in Europe with wonderful views. There are also superb practice facilities (Tel. 950 467 411).

Club Marina Golf Mojacar - A new course in two sections, the first with sea views, the second with inland landscapes. This course also offers many good practice facilities (Tel 950 133 235).

Val des Este Resort - Another new course near the town of Vera, with good practice facilities (Tel 950 398 743).

Club de Golf Cortijo Grande - This is a long established 9 hole course ear Turre (Tel 950 479 176).
